BUSINESS ETHICS
Strong governance underpins sustainable value creation, which is why we integrate sustainability into the highest decision-making processes.
Business ethics are at the heart of our governance framework, establishing clear expectations for fair and responsible practices throughout our value chain.
SHORTER CHAINS, STRONGER TRACEABILITY
Recognising the absolute necessity to work upstream, we have, in recent years, intensified our efforts to strengthen our supply-chain approach.
Our supply chain is intentionally compact and deeply rooted in long-term relationships, supporting traceability and accountability. Today, 98% of our Tier 1* and Tier 2** suppliers for watch production are based in Switzerland and neighbouring regions. Beyond Tier 2**, we work with a limited number of upstream suppliers, including refiners, stone cutters, tanneries and mining actors. This localised supply chain enables stronger oversight, closer dialogue and faster implementation of responsible sourcing practices.
By 2030, we aim to strengthen traceability for key materials – including gold, diamonds, coloured gemstones and leather – through targeted audits, reduced intermediaries and certification requirements for Tier 1 suppliers.
* Tier 1 suppliers deliver products or services directly to our company
**Tier 2 suppliers and beyond provide goods or services to Tier 1 suppliers.
STRUCTURED RESPONSIBLE SOURCING
Respect for human rights is paramount, guiding our zero-tolerance approach to violations throughout our value chain. Our governance aligns with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance, with reporting on conflict minerals, child labour and other human rights issues.
To address risks linked to sensitive materials, our framework relies on three reference documents:
• Our Responsible Sourcing Policy
• Our Environmental Policy (2026)
In 2025, all suppliers endorsed our Supplier Code of Conduct, developed in collaboration with industry partners. Today, 100% of the coloured gemstone cutting facilities we work with are certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), and all our manufacturing entities are RJC-certified.
SUPPLIER ENGAGEMENT UNLEASHING THE POWER OF THE COLLECTIVE
Supplier engagement is a key component of our sustainability approach.
In 2022, we launched a programme through the Swiss Triple Impact (STI) initiative to support suppliers in measuring and improving their sustainability performance.
The programme is based on a voluntary participation and supports suppliers at different stage of their sustainability journey. It provides a structured framework to encourage progress on key topics including decarbonisation, responsible sourcing and the preservation of savoir-faire.
Since 2022, 75 of our direct suppliers have joined the STI programme.
