140 Years of History
Made in Le Brassus
It is in the heart of the vallée de Joux, a region that beats to the tune of complicated watch mechanisms, that everything started for Audemars Piguet in 1875.
Born of Passion
Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet’s wrote the first pages in the rich history of our Manufacture, a place where tradition and innovation have come together for over a century. Audemars Piguet's tale is formed by scores of men and women who from past to present have perpetuated the pioneering spirit of its founding fathers through creations that have made an indelible imprint on the art of watchmaking.
Audemars Piguet is more than a company. It remains an independent family business established in and still operating Le Brassus, the cradle of the fine watchmaking.
Audemars Piguet is the oldest fine watch-making manufacturer never to have left the hands of its founding families. This gives the company a rare independence that allows it to pave a path unique to its vision and storied history. Within the Manufacture, exceptional watches are born every day at the hands of virtuoso watchmakers who will make every effort to remain pioneers in watchmaking for many years to come.
Over the years, our timepieces have evolved to represent unique reinterpretations of traditional complications, imbued with technological innovations, such as the Audemars Piguet escapement. Each watch demands rare ancestral skills that Audemars Piguet is determined to keep alive, by passing them on to younger generations.
