After a long and very successful 25 year career, the Indian cricket legend decided to hang his bat and retire after breaking one more record by becoming the only cricketer to have played 200 test matches.

Also known as the Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar, has managed an incredible career through dedication and commitment, allowing him to harvest a never ending list of successes with many of them leading to breaking records. He was the first batsman in history to score 100 centuries in international cricket; the player with the most number of centuries made in test matches (51) and One Day Internationals (49) and the highest run scorer in World Cups. Nevertheless, Sachin only reached the epitome of his career fulfilling a dream he had been nourishing since childhood in 2011 when he was part of the World Cup winning Indian team on his home soil.

Apart from a very successful career, Sachin is also known for his humility as a person, his deep love for his motherland India as well as his philanthropic work.

Audemars Piguet’s long-standing partnership with Sachin Tendulkar began in 2005. A relationship built on common values, Sachin perfectly embodies Audemars Piguet’s philosophy: "To break the rules, you must first master them". Audemars Piguet celebrated his passion for cricket and watchmaking by releasing two limited editions, a Royal Oak and a Royal Oak Offshore Sachin Tendulkar in a series of 150 and 300 pieces respectively.
