Welcome

Welcome to the user manual for the Royal Oak - Caliber 8100. This User Guide will walk you through the steps to setup and maintain your Audemars Piguet.

1. Hour hand

Indicates the current hour.

2. Minute hand

Shows the current minutes.

3. Chronograph hand

Measures elapsed time in seconds.

4. 30-minute counter

Tracks elapsed minutes in a chronograph function.

5. 12-hour counter

Tracks elapsed time in hours, up to 12 hours, when the chronograph is running.

6. Top pusher button

Start and stops the chronograph

7. Bottom pusher button

Flyback and reset function of the chronograph.

8. Crown position indicator

Displayed are all the possible positions of the crown.

Winding

Before starting, make sure your watch is fully wound. To wind your watch, remain in position A and rotate the crown clockwise approximately 25 times.

Enter the current time

To ensure the following information is accurate, please indicate here the time that your watch is currently set at.

Push the top of the crown

Press the small button on top of the crown once to pop it out slightly to position B. This unlocks the crown for setting the time.

Set the time

If the prevailing time is before noon, rotate the crown anti-clockwise, however, if the prevailing time is after noon, then rotate the crown clockwise.

Secure the top of the crown

Press the button again to secure the small button back in position A.

Start the chronograph

Press pushpiece 1 to start the chronograph.

Stop the chronograph

Press pushpiece 1 to stop the chronograph.

Restart the chronograph

Press pushpiece 1 to restart the chronograph.

Return to zero

Press pushpiece 1 to stop the chronograph, then pushpiece 2 for zero reset.

Completed

Congratulations! Your watch is now set.
