Its very name evokes the grandeur of immortal Russia. The Bolshoi is not just a theatre. It is one of the cardinal points of world culture. Since its foundation in 1780, this venue has seen it all, yet without ever losing an ounce of its vast artistic tradition. Threatened with structural collapse in 2005, this historic temple of opera and dance was renovated from top to bottom and finally opened its doors at the
end of 2011, for its 236th season, with prima ballerina and Audemars Piguet Ambassador, Svetlana Zakharova, in the lead role of “Sleeping Beauty”. Partner to the Bolshoi since 2009, Audemars Piguet now presents a Jules Audemars extra-thin special series featuring an openworked rotor engraved with an effigy of the famous building. A landmark model reflecting a proud history.
